I’ve compiled information on campgrounds and RV parks at Lake Elsinore so you can spend less time researching and more time camping.
In general, camping options consist of RV parks on or near the lake and tent camping in the nearby national forest. With that lay of the land in mind, you can easily narrow down which of these campgrounds are ideal for you.
Here are 10 Lake Elsinore camping options for you to explore.

Camping on Lake Elsinore
Here are camping spots that are right around the lake. If you want direct access to Lake Elsinore on your camping trip, these are the first campgrounds you should check out.
Launch Pointe Recreation Destination
Launch Pointe Recreation Destination puts the “resort” in “RV resort”.
Located on the northwest shore of Lake Elsinore, Launch Pointe offers campers campers plenty of fun both on and off the lake.
This park has over 180 RV sites in seven themed sections of the campground. So whether you want a spot that’s secluded, has lake views, or is family-friendly, it’s easy to find the best spot for you.
All sites have hookups for electric, water, and sewer. The sites also have fences between them for privacy, picnic tables, and concrete patio pads. Other campground amenities include showers, Wi-Fi, a general store, and a fenced in dog area.
At Launch Pointe, you can enjoy your days on Lake Elsinore using this park’s boat launch, boat and jet ski rentals, fishing beach, & bait and tackle shop. If you get your fill of fishing and boating, check out the RV park’s pool and splash pad for even more fun.

Lake Elsinore Marina & RV Resort
Lake Elsinore Marina & RV Resort is a 40-acre property at the western corner of Lake Elsinore.
This pet-friendly campground is one of the largest on Lake Elsinore with almost 200 RV sites. These RV sites are large enough to accommodate rigs up to 40 feet. They are mostly shaded sites with full hookups.
Despite being an RV park, Lake Elsinore Marina & RV Resort also offers some of the only tent camping on the lake. And the tent sites are right on the water!
Whether you’re staying in an RV or a tent, all campers have access to showers, coin-operated laundry, and a convenience store on site.
This waterfront RV park is a great place to stay if you want direct access to Lake Elsinore for boating and fishing.

Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort
Whether you’re looking for a short-term, long-term, or permanent stay at Lake Elsinore, Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort offers it all.
This RV park on the southwest shore of Lake Elsinore has 121 spaces, including 16 waterfront RV sites. There are plenty of spaces for mobile homes, park models, apartment, and RVs.
All of the standard amenities are offered here, including cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry, and showers. Campers also have direct access to Lake Elsinore via the RV resort’s boat launch.

Roadrunner RV Park
Roadrunner RV Park is on the northwest shore of Lake Elsinore, right next to Lake Elsinore Marina & RV Resort.
This RV park is a good choice for anyone who wants to go camping at Lake Elsinore again and again as it offers long-term RV and mobile home rentals.
The pet-friendly RV park has almost 100 sites to choose from.
Get from your campsite to the water in a flash using the boat launch at Roadrunner RV Park. Or, admire views of Lake Elsinore from the shore at the RV park’s covered patio or picnic area.

Camping near Lake Elsinore
Here are Lake Elsinore camping spots that are a short drive away from the lake. These are good campgrounds to consider if you are tent camping or would rather stay in the woods while still being a reasonable distance from the lake.
Elsinore Hills RV Park
Elsinore Hills RV Park is one of the closest camping options that isn’t right on Lake Elsinore. It’s about 5 minutes northeast of the lake, so those who camp here still have quick access to Lake Elsinore.
However, don’t expect to stay here if you’re just looking for an overnight trip. Elsinore Hills RV Park only offers sites on a monthly or long-term basis.
All 48 of the sites have full hookups. Showers and laundry facilities are also available on the property.
The RV Park is pet-friendly with a dog park available on site. Up to three pets are permitted to camp with you.
When you head back to camp after a day on Lake Elsinore, enjoy the RV park’s pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, and fitness center.

Casa de Moble RV Park
Casa de Moble RV Park is another RV park that’s very close to Lake Elsinore. It’s only a 5-minute drive southeast of the lake. This makes it a great option for campers who want to quickly access the lake but spend their nights in a more quiet part of town.
But unlike Elsinore Hills RV Park, Casa de Moble does allow overnight camping as well as weekly and monthly stays.
All 66 RV sites include water, sewer, and cable. Other campground amenities include laundry and showers.

Ortega Oaks RV Park
Ortega Oaks RV Park is 15 minutes away from Lake Elsinore in Cleveland National Forest.
With a forested location, easy access to the lake, and RV park entertainment options, this campground offers campers a little of everything.
Ortega Oaks can host both RVs and tents. There are about 50 sites for RVs and 5 campsites for tents. The RV sites are either full hookup or water-only sites.
Campground amenities include showers, laundry, and a convenience store (called the “candy store”) with the basics.
Explore Cleveland National Forest via the 3 trailheads located across the street from the general store. These trails are the Chiquito Basin Trail (2 miles), Chiquito Trail (9.2 miles), and the San Juan trail (11.6 miles).
If you’d rather stay at the RV park, you can hang out in the rec center or the swimming pool.

Upper San Juan Campground
Upper San Juan Campground is one of several tent-friendly campgrounds in Cleveland National Forest. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to Lake Elsinore from the campground.
This campground has 18 wooded campsites. The sites all have tables and grills. Potable water and vault toilets are also available at the campground.
Go hiking directly from the campground on the the 2.1-mile San Juan Loop Trail. Three more trailheads are located about a mile away from Upper San Juan Campground, across the street from the general store at Ortega Oaks.

Blue Jay Campground
Blue Jay Campground is another campground in Cleveland National Forest. It is also about a 15 minute drive away from Lake Elsinore.
It’s one of the larger campgrounds in Cleveland National Forest with 50 tent-friendly sites. But don’t let the number of campgrounds dissuade you if you’re looking for solitude on your camping trip. Some of the campsites are spread far apart so you can get some sought-after seclusion in the woods.
This campground has all the basic camping amenities like fire pits, potable water, vault toilets, and trash.
Those who enjoy hiking can check out the nearby San Juan Trail. Keep in mind that this trail is 11.6 miles. If you’re looking for a short trail, stretch your legs on the 1.4-mile trail to Falcon Group Campground.

Wildomar Campground
Wildomar Campground is the furthest campground from Lake Elsinore but still within a reasonable drive at 30 minutes.
It’s also the smallest campground with only 11 campsites. This small, shaded campground includes a vault toilet and well water.
It’s a great choice for anyone who wants to drive ATVs and the like on their camping trip since the campground has 8 miles of OHV trails through the national forest land.
