Hearthstone Point Campground is on the southwest shore of the lake just 2 miles north of the village.
Despite its proximity to the bustling village, Hearthstone Point Campground is forested, giving it a more secluded feel. So even campers who prefer an escape into nature will enjoy the campground’s location.

This is a state-operated, waterfront campground on the northwest shore of Lake George. It’s about 10 minutes from the town of Ticonderoga, NY.
Rogers Rock Campground is huge with over 300 spacious campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs. If you’re lucky, you may snag a campsite with a view of Lake George.
Campers can easily spend time on Lake George using the campground’s amenities. Rogers Rock Campground has a boat launch, a boat pump-out station, and a sandy swimming beach with a lifeguard.

Campers can swim at Lake George Beach, which is about a 10-minute walk away from Lake George Battleground State Campground. Lake George Battleground State Campground is the smallest of the state-run, drive-up campgrounds. There are almost 70 campsites here for tents, trailers, and RVs.

4. Lake George Islands Campgrounds
If you’re up for a more adventurous camping trip, check out one of the island campgrounds on Lake George.
There are numerous islands spread along the 32 mile long lake.
Campers can stay on many of these islands at state-operated campsites. These campsites can only be reached by boat. Therefore, Lake George’s island campsites are only suitable for tent camping.

The island campsites are split into 3 groups of islands. From north to south they are Narrow Island, Glen Island, and Long Island.

Lake George RV Park is one of the best Lake George campgrounds for families.
This award-winning RV park has been rated one of the best campgrounds in the entire northeastern U.S.
It’s a huge campground with 400 RV sites and tons of outdoor and indoor activities. In fact, this campground is so big that it has its own shuttle system to take campers around the RV park.

This campground is just 10 minutes south of the village of Lake George, so campers will find plenty of things to do both at the campground and nearby.
Note that there is so much packed into this campground that the roads and campsites may be too tight for larger RVs. Tent camping is not available here.

This RV park has hundreds of private, wooded campsites. The campsites are some of the largest in the area.

10. Ledgeview RV Park
Ledgeview RV Park is about 10 minutes away from the village of Lake George.
This gated campground is an ideal campground for anyone seeking a quiet seasonal campground near Lake George.
Compared to most seasonal campgrounds, Ledgeview RV Park does not provide as many scheduled activities.
The campground also has a few rules that contribute to its calm and quiet environment. For instance, both pets and golf carts are prohibited.
The campsites at Ledgeview RV Park can be reserved for daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal stays. Note that this is one of few seasonal Lake George campgrounds where tents are not allowed.

11. King Phillips Campground & Resort
King Phillips Campground & Resort is one of the closest seasonal campgrounds to Lake George Village.
This campground is less than 2 miles from the village.
And there are several ways campers staying at this RV Park can easily access Lake George Village. The Lake George trolley will take campers into the village. Alternatively, the Warren County Bikeway runs right past the campground towards the town.
King Phillips Campground & Resort is also a good campground for anyone seeking one of the more affordable seasonal campgrounds in Lake George. The campground offers discounts for senior citizens and military members.

12. Brookwood RV Resort
Campers who prefer to spend time boating on Lake George over experiencing Lake George village will enjoy staying at Brookwood RV Resort.
This seasonal campground is near the northern end of Lake George.
One of the benefits of Brookwood RV Resort is that it’s close to the lake’s shore. It’s only a mile away from Roger’s Rock State Park and 6 miles from both Ticonderoga beach and Hague beach.
Another major advantage of this campground is that it offers canoe and kayak rentals. However, note that you must be able to transport the boats to and from the lake.
If you bring your own boat, there is ample space for you to park your boat and trailer.
The majority of Brookwood’s 70 campsites are designated for seasonal campers but some sites are set aside for nightly and weekly camping. The campsites are wooded for a classic Adirondack camping experience.
